I have a new print available titled “Weather Patterns.” It measures 18”x24” and it is a limited edition series of 25. It’s printed on fine quality heavyweight Hahnemuhle textured fine art paper.
This print was inspired by a cut paper installation that I created of the same name. It is showing at FABPDX Artspace through July 28th. Prints of “Weather Patterns” are also for sale at the gallery. This piece is a part of the All Female Artist Showcase. There are 19 other artists that I recommend checking out. The range of work varies from illustration to installation. Come through and visit the space…

In the Sewing Universe: Page Design by Marisa D. Green of Studio Danae, Story by Kerri Jones of RemnantWorks
Our Portland Story, Woody Guthrie: Page design by Marisa D. Green of Studio Danae, Story by Michael Munk.
Studio Danae designed two pages for the book Our Portland Story vol. 1
The book Our Portland Story was founded by Melissa Delzio, a Portland based designer with a love for her city. She describes it as “part insider’s travel guide, and part collected memoirs, but is all about Portland and Portlanders.” I was fortunate enough to team up with two authors, Kerri Jones and Michael Munk, to create two page designs illustrating their stories.
I loved reading about Kerri’s fabric mosaics and how her grandmother impacted so much of her life and artistic process. I was lucky enough to get a shot at designing a second page for the book, written by Michael Munk. His historical references to Woody Guthrie and the Bonneville Power Administration were unknown to me until this project. I felt great pride designing a page for such a well known American icon.
